A lesson to teach, assess or consolidate colours for young children. Start with sharing the poster - sheet 1 and discussing the colours shown. Can children think of things that may be these colours? The next 3 sheets each show two colours, so children can distinguish between these and locate objects that are in each colour e.g a red apple and a yellow crayon. Colours used in the resource are red, green, yellow, blue, pink and orange. Sheet 5 contains the objects seen in all the previous sheets. Children can have a copy of this sheet and locate each of the objects as you share sheets 2,3 and 4. Sheet 6 is a colouring sheet, children recall the colours of the various objects and then colour them in on the worksheet.
